Some products can't be explained, they have to be lived. The immersive format tells a story scene by scene as the reader scrolls. It's for people who already know what they want and need convincing. It works for a one-page site, a multi-page site or a landing page.

The opening of the Kailash journey landing page

Abyssal VoyagesThe Kailash journey

Before we design anything, we write the story screen by screen, like a screenplay. Every scene has its own movement. The mountain drawing closer, the path sliding sideways, the view opening up. The invitation comes at the end.

The thread
The climb. Scrolling the page is the climb, from Lhasa at 3,650 metres up to the 5,500-metre pass.
Three movements
The mountain drawing closer. The path sliding sideways. The view opening up before the hardest moment.
The hardest scene
The kora, three days around the mountain. Here the scrolling slows down, and the reader feels the effort.
On a phone
Every scene has a simpler version, so scrolling stays smooth.

It works when visitors already know what they want and need convincing that you're the right choice. Instead of listing things, you let them live what they'll find.

  • Three white rooms seen one after another through open doors

    The house

Visited room by room, one per scroll.

  • A person looks at a large canvas in a white gallery

    The film, the exhibition

A documentary, a film or an exhibition told like cinema.

  • A person at home looks out of the window, with a mug and a notebook

    Your day

A day the reader recognises as their own, before they reach the solution.

  • The bioluminescent seabed at 4,000 metres in the Abyssal Voyages demo

    The lesson

Dive into the deep and meet the creatures, one depth at a time.

  • Mount Kailash at sunset on the Freemocean landing page

    The journey

Live the route before you leave.

Abyssal Voyages is a demo we built to show the format. You descend from 3,300 metres to the seabed, and each creature appears the moment you meet it in the video.

Questions

Does it look good on a phone?

Yes. Every scene also has a phone version, simpler, so scrolling stays smooth. We check them all before publishing.

Can I change it myself?

Yes. The informative parts, like stops, prices and contact details, you change as on any other site. The moving scenes stay as we built them.

Does it work for a whole site or a single page?

Both, and for a landing page too. The whole story can be immersive, or just the opening.

Can I have it in more than one language?

Yes, with the Multilingual extension. When you change the site in one language, the system rewrites the others with the reader's culture in mind.
