This mini-guide shows you how to set up your investigation workspace so you don't drown in an avalanche of notifications.
You'd think that if we join a group, we care about the topic and are happy to get a notification whenever something new is posted. That changes fast when you're doing intelligence work and pulling information from hundreds of groups. At that point, the notifications become impossible to keep up with.
This mini-guide shows you how to set up your investigation workspace so you don't drown in an avalanche of notifications.
Open your Facebook settings.
Go to your profile settings.
Select the notification settings.
Choose the "tags" option.
Make sure you pick any option other than "anyone". If you choose "anyone", you'll get notified every time anyone tags you. The option to turn off the @everyone tag only shows up if you choose "friends" or "friends of friends".
Once you've confirmed you didn't pick "anyone", uncheck "batch @everyone mentions".
